Ropinirole is #1-RLS: Restless legs syndrome and plmd are treated with Dopamine agonists such as ropinirole (approved in rls) or pramipexole. There are many reports in the literature of exacerbation of these symptoms by antidepressants.

tapering off of 0.5mg of kpin i took for 19 months now on day 17 of taper. i am having severe withdrawal doctor told me to kick it back up to .5mg. when will my blood reach 0.5mg of it again?he also added 25mg of sertraline which been on it 2 days.

Anxiety? Withdrawal?: The extraordinary difficulty you are experiencing with the taper may reflect a re-emergence of your anxiety rather that benzo withdrawal . Meds  such as sertraline can be effective treating  anxiety. Once symptoms are under better control ,the taper may be  possible . You and your doctor can decide how to complete this crossover  and whether other psychotherapeutic interventions may be helpful.

AA: The best way to stop alcohol use is to join your chapter of alcohol anonymous. It is proven to help. If you have severe issues with alcohol use then DT is a real issue and would seek a local center that offers inpatient care. Best of luck you have made a good choice and just sent loose hope and keep at it.

It "snuck up": This situation "snuck up" on the medical profession and in fact many of the "Benzo Buddies" were CREATED by PHYSICIANS I am your age and when I was actively practicing they were SENDING ME CARTONS OF XANAX (alprazolam) IN THE MAIL!
"Chronic Withdrawal" is a nightmare!
I sympathize and hope with you that the reasons will become clearer since its now becoming a NATIONAL PROBLEM!

They vary a lot: But most people get some version of "nicotine fits" - anxiety, agitation, short-temper, difficulty concentrating and strong cravings for a cigarette.  Sleep may be adversely impacted, and there may be decreased mood to the point of clinical depression.  Nicotine replacement therapy or Chantix (varenicline) can signicantly decrease these symptoms, as can bupropion (zyban, wellbutrin). Support help!

Many effects and: a short time after last use.  Nicotine is a short-acting drug, which is why people who smoke average 1-3 cigarettes per hour while awake (as opposed to heroin 3-4X/day). Withdrawal consists of anxiety, craving for tobacco, muscle tenseness, insomnia and irritability.  It occurs within 4-7 hours after last dose, which is why very dependent smokers need a cigarette as soon as they wake up.

Get a second opinion: akathisia from drug withdrawal should, like ALL symptoms related to withdrawal, be transient and self-limited.  However, I have seen many cases where such symptoms appear to persist, and it is never clear whether an underlying problems has been unmasked or it is an idiosyncratic individual response that is unusual/rare. Check for other diagnoses-eg restless leg syndrome) and treat symptomatically.
