No: Alcohol can cause a burning sensation in the throat, particularly in high concentration.  The amount of alcohol in a glass of red wine will generally not cause a problem.  However, alcohol consumption can increase gastric reflux and heartburn causing irritation.  Also, overindulgence can lead to mild irritation.

Xerostomia: Do a bit of research on the term "xerostomia", then go see your dentist and/or ent.  Dry mouth is treatable and does reduce your quality of life in dramatic ways.  First things first, drink plenty of water daily and avoid caffeine in any form (coffee, tea, sodas, etc).  Do not smoke!  wine is also a diuretic and will dry your mouth and body, sorry!  if this doesn't work, your dmd will help further.

Please Clarify: That means there is something wrong in your throat and not in the semen of your boyfriend. Do you have a fever? Cold? The sniffiles? Post nasal drip? The flu?

Throat: Great question. Could be dryness, allergic, medication related or a sign of silent acid reflux also called LPR. If you are otherwise healthy and not on Coumadin (warfarin) you could try taking an OTC antacid  to see if it helps.

Yes: Belching is the venting of gas from your stomach.  This gas generally gets into your stomach by swallowing it (usually unintentionally).  When you belch, the gas is released into your esophagus and to your mouth.  Sometimes stomach acid can follow the air which can cause burning and occasionally damage to your esophagus.

Throat burns: Depends on the cause.  The burning may be due to gastric contents that regurgitate into your throat during the night (called gerd).  Treatment involves stopping the reflux.  Other causes could be post nasl drip or sometimes dental problems.  See your doctor for examination to determine the cause and then you can get proper treatment.
