Olive oil: I heard from a biochemistry proff one time that heating olive oil will make those benefits diminish for a number of reasons... consider cooking in alternative way (baking for example) then add olive oil afterwards!

Lice: You are the second person to ask this question, so apparently there is information out there that i did not know concerning coconut oil and lice. As i said to previous patient, it wont hurt to try, but lice is very contagious so dont try too long before getting rid.

Maybe: There are a number of remedies some people swear by to kill lice- these include different types of oils, mayonnaise, butter, etc.  However there are no scientific studies supporting these treatments.

Follow directions: it sounds like you are using Elimite (permethrin). Use as shampoo and leave on for the recommended time period and then rinse and repeat 7-9 days later. Do not use other shampoos. Anyone suspected of having lice should be treated at the same time. There are weaker solutions for children and babies. Wash all clothing and bed linen in hot water. All the best.

No: It has no spf and can cause the skin to burn  leading to skin damage and skin cancer.
