Usually not: A bruise is bleeding under the skin and does not scar. If however you have a large bleed like a hematoma it can calcify if it is not drained.

Bruises no skin yes: Cuts usually leave some scarring, very superficial abrasions usually not, bruises also usually not.

Bruises self heal: Bruises by definition are self limited and always will resolve. There is no way to eliminate scars, despite what you may see on infomercials :-). Scars can be improved with some creams, massage, or surgical revision. However, they cannot be made to disappear.

Possible hernia: Assuming no direct injury, you might have an incisional hernia that is expanding. Best to have it examined on person.

Any : Any large mass warrants a medical evaluation. It could merely be scar tissue, a collection of blood under the skin, lipoma (collection of fat) or a tumor (benign or cancerous). 
You will need to see your primary care provider first for an evaluation and possibly imaging studies, or a direct referral to a surgeon.

Hernia pain: Occasionally patients will experience pain following an activity months following a hernia repair.  This may be a pulled muscle or injury.  It is possible to develop a "bruise" in the area of the hernia repair.  I would recommend rest, anti-inflammatory agents, and possibly ice.  If it does not resolve, see your surgeon. A recurrent hernia is rare but possible.

Positioning : Bruising on your side may be due to the way your body was positioned during surgery. As far as scar pain? Is it red, draining etc. have surgeon take a look at it

Other options: For scars or bruises that do not respond to topical agents, you may need to get an evaluation by a dermatologist to see if you qualify for prescription topical agents or even laser treatment.  Lasers can treat certain brown and vascular marks.  There are lesions that still may not respond to lasers.

i self pierced my tragus last year and it then rejected.i pierced it after that&now i have a large scar that is bruise colors how can i get rid of it?

Listen to body: If your body rejects something, that might be a clue that it's not a good idea.  Now that you have ignored your body and are suffering some consequences (i.e. A large dark scar), be smart.  Usually time alone will fade scars but if it doesn't, you may need ipl or laser treatments.  See your plastic surgeon.

hi. i got a scar on my neck due to hickey. i scratch it and bleeding, nw the wound already heal,no more bruise but dark scar appear for 2 mnths now :(

Show it to: your doctor to make sure that the scar does not have chronic infection.  If it is completely epithelialized (covered with skin), you should not be terribly concerned.  Sometimes scar can take up to one year to heal.
