Call your doctor: You need to speak with the physician who prescribed these meds in the first place. The Miradep is a major antidepressant and should not be discontinued until you speak with your doctor.

Better not: Would increase the risk of developing hypertension (high blood pressure), you are already on high dose of the other two drugs,  good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medications

i had 3 shots of vodka within 30 mins. im on lamotrigine and meclizine. i didnt think it through before hand but i rarely drink. is this ok this one time?

: Likely you will get quite intoxicated, so, do NOT drive, do activities at heights, operate power equipment.  Over several hours you will become sober, but best is to go to bed and sleep it off.

i take meclizine 25mg twice a day and lamotrigine 100mg twice a day for focal seizures. have been on lamotrigine for less than a year. is it ok to drink small amount of alcohol..on a rare basis..like one beer for example?

: Alcohol moderation, such as "one beer" would likely be safe, but high amounts could be deleterious.  To be extra safe, recommend checking a lamotrigine blood level, and adjust dosing if necessary to maintain a therapeutic level.

i am on vyvanse, lamotrigine, and i take xanax, (alprazolam) & have 1-2 glasses of wine/night. i is this alright? what if i stop drinking will the combo be safe

Alcohol not safe: Being on 3 drugs which all affect the brain by either revving it up or slowing it down &amp; then, adding the Wildcard of alcohol is simply asking for trouble. Did your doctor prescribe all those medications for you? Just in &amp; of themselves they can have significant interactions. I'd ask your doctor to rethink things. Is there any other way FOR YOU to approach or intervene on your psych issues?

is it safe to drink alcohol when on zoloft (sertraline) and lamotrigine?

Guarantee  that you: Will get different responses from other providers.  I would say no to my patients. Any condition that requires both Lamictal and zoloft (sertraline) means that alcohol could act as a depressant & worsen sxs. Additionally, the numb from alcohol can prevent patients from feeling real & raw emotions. It stunts them.

Lamotrigine (epitec): It is category C with pregnancy, meaning use with caution if benefits outweigh risks, kindly confer with your prescriber and your obstetrician, wish you a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby

Your doctor: Talk to the doctor who prescribed you the medications.  You should not change your medications, take new ones, including herbals, supplements and over the counter drugs without consulting your doctor.

i started taking epitec again and have gained weight drastically again - 4kg in 2weeks. i know its the meds because when i stopped taking them and was dieting and exercising, i lost weight. isnt there anything else that wont make me gain weight?

Weight gain: The dieting and exercise contributed significantly to weight loss. Is it that being on epitec caused you to be less motivated to exercise and diet? Speak to the prescribing physician, neurologist or psychiatrist, who knows you best, about putting you on a different medication.
