Evaluation needed: Even though it could still be swollen from a bad bruise.  Following on your arm can certainly cause a fracture. I would definitely recommend further evaluation and an x-ray. Please see your doctor or go to your local emergency department.

Inflammation arm: Many conditions can cause swelling of the arms, including, but not limited, to an infection, tumor, circulation difficulty, and others.  You should see your internal medicine at first, to direct you to the correct specialist.

i have 2 insect bites, 1 on my back 1 on my forearm, both swollen and itchy, i have had them for over 6 weeks now! not painful at all?

6 weeks seems like quite a long time for insect bites to heal, although this is possible if you are scratching them frequently which can delay healing.   Mosquito or spider bites can take a while to heal and can often leave a small lump in the tissue with darkening of the skin which resolves over time.    If you have increasing size, redness or pain, you should see your doctor.

i hit my forearm on the corner of a wall yesterday.it looked okay but it got swollen today.still no change of color or pain but itchy.what should i do?

It should resolve: It sounds like you are having a reaction to whatever you bumped up against, whether this is an early infection or an allergy like response is unclear. But if you are healthy and otherwise without significant medical problems it should go away on its own. Topical antihistamines may help with the symptoms in the meantime.

Soft-tissue injury?: Sounds like a lot of soft-tissue damage.  Be careful: even if xrays were read out as negative, be sure to have them viewed by an orthopaedic surgeon who has examined you.  Clinical correlation is extremely important, for I have seen well over 100 fractures that were missed on initial x-ray report.  Soft-tissue injury can cause pain and swelling for months.  Start therapy early.

STAPH infection: Until proven otherwise you should consider that you most likely have an abscess or staph infection.  The worldwide epidemic of MRSA (drug resistant staph) should lead you to see your family doctor sooner than later.

i have a bite on my right forearm, it has swollen some, is super itchy and is hard and warm to the touch. kind of a pinkish discoloration. any idea??

See a doctor: Your rash may be infected.  Insect bites can cause skin irritation with redness and itching and/or cause an infection.  If the redness streaking, or swelling or pain  increasing, see your doctor right away.
