Muscle tear?: Could be related to a muscle tear? Have you been working out? Pain for two months warrants a trip to your friendly primary care physician.

Exam needed: Since the bump blanches and resumes redness after pressing on it, it suggests a vascular component rather than a solid nodule or lipoma. It may be a hemangioma or inflammatory lesion,  but will have to be examined by your physician or a dermatologist for diagnosis and advice.

Discogenic Pain: Straightening the back narrows the spinal canal causing pain, need to see your doctor for further evaluation if you have not done so.

Rash: Such an itchy localized rash may be an allergic reaction to some thing that came in contact with your thigh(?clothing,poison ivy) or may be shingles,insect bites. If this eruption isn't resolving, have your physician examine you for diagnosis and treatment.

Keep moving: Just go about your daily routine. If it starts to hurt more then rest and elevate/ice it. May want to skip any hard core leg exercises or marathons for a few days.
