Mouth sore: It's not uncommon for your mouth and/or tip of tongue to be sensitive after a bout of hot, salty, or spicy foods. This is related to surface damage and should resolve within a few days. If not please see your primary care physician.

Number of causes: There are manu causes for a metallic taste.   You may have gums disease, an infection, vitamin deficiency, some medication cause this, some diseases cause this.  Start by seeing a dentist and find out if this is an oral problem.

Might try using : A different toothpaste and rinse.  Try colgate total or similar toothpaste and also make sure you are brushing your tongue.  Crest pro health system is also very good.  Hope this helps.

Exposure to fluoride can be from working around insectides, water treatment or welding. It could also be due to other issues like reflux.

In your case pregnancy-related (estrogen) changes in your sense of smell may also lead to dysgeusia. It is very common condition in pregnancy and will be solved soon. With Geographic tongue people may notice they have a“bitter” or “metallic” taste in their mouths. Good luck.

Reflux: Most commonly this is caused by acid reflux.  You can try an over the counter antacid to see if your symptoms improve.  Medications can also cause a metallic taste in your mouth, so if you have started any new medications lately I would discuss them with the prescribing physician.
