It is universally recommended for everyone under age 19 and for many categories of others including those with more than one sex partner, household contacts of people with hepatitis b, people with chronic renal or liver disease and other categories.

: This is somewhat controversial. After 10 years or longer, antibody from the vaccine sometimes is not detectable. Probably such persons are at least partially protected from hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection but it isn't certain. Most experts recommend revaccination to be maximally safe. You either can be revaccinated, or have an HBV antibody test to help decide. Good luck.
