Hard to know: Bruising is common with mosquito stings.Right after being bitten by a mosquito you may develop a soft white bump than later transitions into a hard, brown (reddish-brown) or a blister or bruising. There may be itching &amp; swelling around the lesion.

Insect bite: This could be from any insect bite. Lymes disease  typically give a target like redness.

Ice, Benadryl (diphenhydramine): This sounds like a normal (though perhaps more extreme) response to a bee sting.  Most likely some immune response without it being a true or dangerous allergy.  Ice and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) should help some but you will be helped most by time.

Painful hematoma: The stinger may have injured/punctured a superficial blood vessel that bled locally causing the hematoma (bruise). Ice, elevation, decreased use, and minimal compression (ace wrap) should help improve your pain and bruising from a local hematoma. If symptoms do not improve in a day or two,  seek medical evaluation.

Bruise ? trauma: Have you had any trauma? do you paly with your boyfriend? Have you fallen. I am not sure this is important but would be good to know the cause. sometimes a vein will rupture spontaneously. 
Time should resolve this problem.

Bruise: A bruise happens when there is trauma to an area underneath which lies a vein. Another way of looking at it... the vein leaks under the skin. If there is a big leak or fast leak, it may feel like burning or itching or throbbing. I've had that happen when I bump my knee really hard or I bump the back of my hand where there are a lot of veins. It should go away in a few days.

stinging pain in vein on hip 3 days. no discoloration or temp difference. no bruise/trauma. hurts when i sit/apply pressure. should i be concerned?

Plan: You do not have history of trauma, bruises, and pain is on while you sit or press locally. If it right you can use some cream for muscle pain for 3-5 days. Check your physical activity and do not overuse some exercise, related to this muscle. No needs  to be concerned, most likely it is muscle pain.
