Musculoskeletal: If your pain is reproducible by palpation it is most likely musculoskeletal in origin. Depending on its exact location it may involve the intercostal muscles, ribs or sternocostal joints. It is not likely that a blood clot is causing this type of pain.

: This was likely an individual allergic reaction to some material (even a  trace amount) in the product, not the vitamin K which is present in foods you eat. The natural vitamin K is a co-factor in the formation of the blood factors that allow you to clot normally. The exposure you cited is unlikely to have any effect on your clotting, or anything else. I would avoid that product in the future.

went to er for chest pain. ddimer was elevated. ct of chest ruled out blood clot. didn't scan legs. what causes elevated d dimer if no clot?

Borderline d dimer: D-dimer units (DDU) (&lt; or =0.50 mcg/mL fibrinogen equivalent units: FEU) are normal.  D-Dimer is a nonspecific test and the good news is that CT angiogram is normal and likelihood of significant pulmonary embolism is very unlikely. Yours is borderline and you should pursue and get a duplex vein scan of the leg to make sure there is no DVT or thrombophlebitis.

See physician: Symptoms of pulmonary embolism include sudden shortness of breath during activity and rest, chest painlike heart attack worsening with deep breath, cough, and change in position.The pain worsens with exertion and does not disappear with rest.But  the cough may produce bloody or blood-streaked sputum. More frequent cause is gastroesophageal reflux or musculoskeletal etiology.Should see physician.

Clot: It is unlikely a firm diagnosis can be made if the clot is gone. It can be suspected but proof would be difficult.
