Pulse: One hypothesis is when breath rapidly it stimulates the baghdad nerves which stimulate the brain to produce more adrenaline which affects the blood vessels which increases pulse rate. Another theory is hyperventilation causes more demand for oxygen which makes heart work faster.

56=ok: There's nothing wrong with a heart rate of 56 - don't try to change it.  I suggest you wear warmer clothing - it will make you more comfortable, probably will make the red/purple spots go away, is free/inexpensive, has no side effects, and won't interact with your other meds.

Your : Your description of her symptoms is very alarming. This is clearly not a normal finding.   She needs to see her pediatrician or family physician soon.  They may refer her to a pediatric cardiologist.  Please don't put this off.

Panic attacks: If you have a panic disorder, your Fight-flight-freeze response is too easily triggered.  Please start w/a visit to your doc. After eating: Gastric distension due to gas buildup after meals may explain your symptoms. Avoiding carbonated beverages, caffeine, gassy and oily foods and tying to belch, which causes air swallowing, would be advisable. In addition taking simethicone a half hour after meals prevents gas buildup. Drinking hot(not too hot) water breaks down gas. See a gastroenterologist as needed for evaluation.

Don't see it happen: Lots of kids have used benadryl (diphenhydramine). Haven't see kids get a high heart rate from it. A high heart rate usually happens with fever in children. The bronchodilators like albuterol (for wheezing) raise the heart rate, and the decongestants like sudafed can also do it. Being dehydrated, such as with vomiting or diarrhea, will raise one's heart rate.
