Breast pain: Mastodynia or breast pain can have variety of causes.  Most commonly, hormone fluctuations can cause pain.  Fibrocystic disease can also be painful and related to hormonal levels.  Less common reasons include infections or inflammatory conditions.  In older patients (ie.  In the fourth decade of life or greater) an advanced cancer can be painful.  See your physician for a good history and physical.

Loestrin is a combination of the 2 female hormones – estrogen and progesterone – the estrogen will cause  the breast to grow and develop – like it does in puberty.  Once the full effect of the level of estrogen is reached – discomfort should go away.

hi! whenever i remove my bra, the side of my breasts hurt. it has been happening recently. as per my periods they are regular, and im 9 days away from the next date. im 20 and there seem to be no lumps on my breasts as well. what can be the cause?

: This could be from a bra that is not the correct size. A good bra fitting might be a first step to figuring out the problem. Once the bra is properly fitted and you are wearing the correct size, you may find the issue is no longer present.
