Sounds unusual: If this is the first time it has occurred it is most likely an allergic reaction of some type and shoul resolve with a topical hydrocortisone. If it worsens, recurs or does not improve, i would seek the care and evaluation of a dermatologist.

Many possibilities: There are many things that could cause the skin to itch.  Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, sun exposure, insect bites, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Muscle aches: Muscle aches with associated flushed feelings but no fever are still suspicious of an infection, probably viral. Observe for other new symptoms like sore throat, headache, nasal congestion, cough, rash, diarrhea or urinary symptoms. At this time I recommend resting, good fluid intake and taking Tylenol.

Hand swelling: Hand swelling not due to injury or an insect bite and  with associated itching suggests angioedema which is an allergic reaction. However this type of swelling generally subsides after 24 hours or so. For this reason I  feel an insect bite is more likely in your case. If the hand swelling persists, becomes painful or develops redness, have a physician examine you for diagnosis and treatment.

Dermatitis: Skin rashes are difficult to diagnose when seen, and almost impossible to diagnose over the computer.  You have some skin eruption and non-specific dermatitis.  See the Dr. for an evaluation, so the most definitive diagnosis can be made, and the best treatment will follow, Best wishes.

Hair thinning: Hair thinning and abnormal sweating is seen in cases of hyperthyroidism(overactive thyroid). Your physician or an endocrinologist can evaluate you for this. Scalp itch may also be related but your beautician can also advise you about dandruff treatment and your hair care.

i was at a golf driving range and got a blister on my hand from the club its on the finger and takes up the entire muddle it's on palm side and when i clench my hand or finger it sketches its already split and itches what do i do and look out for?

: Obviously you'll have to give up golf for a while. Don't purposely pop the blister. Wash it gently with soap&amp; water,pat dry,apply an antibacterial ointment and protect the wound with a bandaid. Change it every day or two or if it gets wet or dirty. Increasing pain,redness and/or swelling warrants treatment by a physician for infection.

Thumb pain: If there is associated redness around the thumb nail an infection called paranychia appears likely. Treat with warm soaks but if redness worsens some pus may have to be drained by a surgeon. The itchy or burning sensation in the palm is probably unrelated and if there is no associated rash, irritable superficial nerve endings, possibly from some activities, may be the cause.

Ulnar neuropathy: Injury of the ulnar nerve can cause grip weakness and tingling/ itching/ sensory changes of pinkie finger ; palmar side of hand, and possibly referred pain/ sensory loss up to forearm. Deficits ; pain of nerve injury characteristically comes and goes. Have your neurologist check you out and make recommendations. Good luck!
