It can, but...: ...There are a lot of organs on that side of the abdomen, including the liver, gallbladder, and a kidney.  If you're having persistent pain/swelling there, you should see your doctor.

Abdominal pain: How old is your son, how long he had this problem, any other symptoms such as nausia,  vomiting, bloating, bloody stools or weight loss. Abdominal pain in pediatric age is very common &amp; most likely functional. He needs to see his1ry care physician for examination, workup &amp; treatment. At the mean time keep him on bland diet, low fat, no spices cut down dairy products.  I hope he gets better soon

Belly pain: When you describe your symptoms as "intestines" it may be anything from inflammatory bowel disease to ulcerative colitis. These are things which often require an evaluation first, followed by a diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Self treatment or otc meds can often mask a more serious ongoing  problem. See your doctor.

Abscess: The best thing to do with clindaymycin is to take a probiotic, or better yet eat at least 1 yogurt a day.  This will help prevent clostridium difficile infection.

It could be: It could be nothing or a disorder.   You need to follow up with your doctor to have at minimum of lab work.

Musculoskeletal : If you note pain while positioning then it might be musculoskeletal pain.  That will improve with nsaid.  If you have pain in your abdomen then a certain position making it better could be a hernia.  Your doctor will do a thorough history and physical.  They might need to do a ct scan if you are heavy set.

i have had a hernia for 40 years and my intestines go into one of my testicle, dose not hurt but wondering how bad of a surgery it would be?

Not bad: Any surgery has risks. However, routine elective hernia surgery can be done generally with minimal risks and complications. The risks and complications from ignoring an inguinal hernia are higher than having surgery. See a surgeon for definitive answers.

Intestinal cramps: You are having intestinal cramps - smooth muscle contractions due to inflammation.  Drink plenty of fluids with electolytes (pedialyte or gatoraid) and stay away from solid food).  Sometimes pancreatitis may present with cramps as well.
