Headache: Headaches, light sensitivity and other causes can be at work. If this has been happening for some time, it could be dry eyes or an inflammation. If this is a recent event, and occurs daily, have an eye doctor take a look. There is often a simple explanation for the irritation, and possibly an easy fix.

No relation: Eye pain upon waking has no relationship with the presence or absence of cancer.  The most common etiology is a form of dry eyes called meibomitis.  Eye trauma can also do the same.  You should see an eye md for an evaluation.

See eye doctor: Some of your symptoms may be due to allergies and there are drops for that, however the eye pain is not typical of allergies. I suggest that you see an eye doctor as soon as possible to get a diagnosis and treatment.

Dryness: When you sleep, you do not blink.  Blinking helps keep the eyes lubricated and people that have dry eye, have a hard time when getting up in the morning due to dryness.  Try an over the counter tear gel at bed time and regular artificial tears during the day.

Dry eye or...: recurrent erosion syndrome.  You should go see an eye doctor and preferably a specialist in cornea to check.  This is easily treated.

Sinus pressure?: This symptom is consistent with sinus congestion or pressure, as it can be sensitive to head position. Since there are sinuses all around the eyes and orbits, this might seem like aching from the eyes or behind the eyes. Cervical spine problems can also cause referred pain to the ocular area. There are eye conditions that could cause this, but they usually are not so intermittent.

Many things can cause headache, blurred vision, and lethargy. Many of the causes can be quite serious.

Subconjunctival heme: A subconjunctival hemorrhage, depending on its size, can take up to 3 weeks or more to resolve. As long as it is improving and your vision is not affected, and you are not experiencing significant  pain, you can just follow it along. You may use some artificial tears for some slight irritation. You probably had rubbed your eye during sleep, which stretched and broke a blood vessel.
