Many reasons: Some times anxiety symptoms , or medications that dilate blood vessel, 
but if it's happens frequently , and is bothering u talk with u pcp.

Accepted Answer

You are: obviously reacting to something in red wine, perhaps sulfites or polyphenols.  Allergic reactions can happen without any previous history.  Easiest solution is to avoid red wine altogether.

why does tramadol make everything numb to the touch and my left side of my cheek get red hot?

Dual mechanism: Tramadol is an analgesic which in addition  weakly inhibits norepinephrine/serotonin reuptake. This is an effect similar to certain antidepressants and  may be the cause of your symptoms. 
Check it out with your physician there may be an alternative if this becomes botthersome.

Psychological eval.: Your symptom suggests a psychiatric source. If you are feeling emotionally unwell this is more evidence that the source is in the mind. The mind-body connection is real and mental disturbance can cause all sorts of abnormal
bodily sensations including severe pain. Another possibility would be a genetic dysautonomia, but this is rare and would have many additional symptoms.Have a mental health eval

Hive: Hives are raised, red and itchy and can occur anywhere on the body including the face.  They improve with antihistamines such as claritin (loratadine).  An allergist is a specialist is finding the cause of such reactions.  In washington, consider nw allergy and asthma.

Deer fly: That sounds like a deer fly bite -which can be painful. They can cause allergic reactions - and depending on your history of allergy you may need to be exceptionally  careful. If it's not getting better, then you need to get evaluated. Warning signs would be feeling lightheaded, breathing problems, the development of hives, nausea/vomiting, rapid heart rate etc. Try some ice and maybe Benadryl (diphenhydramine) now

Vasodilation: This type of flushing is caused by dilation of the tiny blood vessels in those regions. Heat, spices, embarrassment are some precipitating factors. If these flushing reactions are frequent, severe, and provoked by unknown factors, consult an endocrinologist who will check you for certain conditions like carcinoid,pheocytoma,etc.

Facial flush. Acne: Try reducing the heat in your shower water. The redness in your cheeks can be reduced longterm with a treatment like ipl (intense pulsed light) or nd:yag laser. 
The most effective treatment for you can be determined after consultation with a facial cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist.
