when i pinch my nose it smells metallic. what does that mean?

Probably nothing: Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

when ever i exhale from my nose it's a metallic kinda of smell like i'm getting an iv. what could it be ?

Metallic smell: May be infection/sinusitis/ mucosal breakdown w/ mild blood  in rhinitis/ allergies( iron in blood is a metal and has a metallic  smell) or  gastric irritation/ reflux ( called laryngeal reflux)  irritating the mucosa with  mild bleeding  etc. Elevate head of bed, antihistamines  vasoline at tip of nose  to moisturize when runny nose, rantidine/ prevecid for reflux( if no allergies) F/U w/doc

Odd smell: Some medications like Metronidazole could give metallic taste and smell, then thier may be real metal or olfactory hallucination.

Probably not: You could try a sinus rinse or a saline spray for a few days. It may take time to go away.

: I would consider your symptoms as nondiagnostic.  As you most likely know, Covid virus often impairs sense of smell and taste. It might be worthwhile having a covid test even though you apparently have no other suspicious symptoms. Discus this with your physician.

: Metallic smell is not generally recognized symptom, metallic taste is but not smell. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferable an ENT doctor. Wish you good health!

why can i smell blood/metal in my nose when there is no bleeding, especially with acidic or strong smells? i got hit in the nose a few days ago but it stopped bleeding quickly and it's been a while so...?

Strange Smell: If the strange smell started after you were hit in the nose, it may be related to the blood that remained inside your nose or sinuses.  If so, it should clear in a week or two.  I do not advise washing it out, it might start to bleed.  If the smell continues for more than two weeks, an ENT (nose) specialist could look inside.  If you have other symptoms, go sooner.
