Hopefully a few days: Lots going on here. Is he bleeding because of a biopsy of the prostate. Or is it since it since the catheter. Medicine to shrink the prostate can take six months. Having a stroke and being in bed certainly makes urinary retention worse. If the bleeding is from the catheter  or biopsy, saline flushes can stop I t within a few days. Good health.

Cyst complications: Was the cyst removed closed with sutures??  or left open to heal on its on???  if it was stiched shut  -  you need to call the doctor that did it and be seen.   If it wasn't stitched closed  -  then I would try using dilute peroxide to clean the area and antibiotic ointment - but call and get an appointment to be seen -  its long past the post op complications time period.

Get eval: You may have a rectal abscess in the area and the swelling is starting to bring it to the surface.  See the Dr. for eval...Best wishes.

Acute tonsillitis : Tonsils are like sponges in the back of the throat. Just like sponges they have pockets where things can accumulate. Sometimes this is bacteria. The bleeding is caused by little infections pushing out debris like abscesses rupturing. It is important to check to see if it is a strep infection as this can effect your skin, heart and kidneys.

Might need treatment: Has he been seen by a doctor for this?  Keeping from straining, avoiding hard stools, and the use of topical nitroglycerin (a prescription) or diltiazem should be considered as first-line.

Trauma: Immediately see your General Physician, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room.  Your traumatic injury needs to be evaluated.  You may need antibiotics.

Inflammation: Furuncles or pimples can be associated with a significant amount of inflammation, and this can cause some bleeding when it is opened. This can be exaggerated if you are on nsaids or other drugs that affect clotting. Gentle pressure should stop the bleeding.

Infection: Sounds like your piercing may have become infected.  If it's minor then topical treatment with an antiobiotic ointment like Bacitracin may help (make sure you aren't allergic to it).  If it's more significant though you'll need to see your doctor.

Staph Infection: You need to be seen urgently and to have this infection either excised or at the least treated with antibiotics.
