Reaction to med: Stop taking the medication and call your doctor immediately or head to the emergency room, this reaction may progress to steven johnson syndrome if your skin start peeling. Don't dismiss your symptoms please.

Doctor can evaluate: Spots can be due to allergic, viral, or fungal causes. Sometimes spots are sensitive skin eczema, or due to aging or sun exposure. A primary care doctor or a dermatologist (skin doctor) should look at it if it doesn't go away, or it worsens, with simple treatment. Simple treatment of an itchy spot means trying over-the-counter Hydrocortisone 1% cream three-times-a-day for about 5 days.

Many Things: Any skin condition requires visualization in order to properly diagnose and treat. Without seeing it, some ideas are that it could be freckles, or sun spots. Also, there is a particular skin fungus called tinea versicolor that can leave light or dark spots on the skin commonly on upper body. A little more information is needed. Have a dermatologist take a look.

Acanthosis nigricans: Acanthosis nigricans can look like a velvety darkening of the neck with thickened skin folds and increased skin tags. This can be seen with obesity and Insulin resistance, so go to a doctor to have this evaluated.

AGE SPOTS: These sound like "age spots" or "liver spots". They are usually benign lesions that appear to be "stuck on".  However, some can be pre-cancerous and deserve to be evaluated by a physician. See your primary care provider or a dermatologist.

Tinea: Tinea versicolor usually occurs in teens, it is a fungal infection of the skin, commonly occurs on neck, back and chest.  There are different treatment options including oral medication, but the first line should be 2.5% selenium sulfide shampoo/lotion.  Of course see your PMD for definitive diagnosis and treatment.

i have a brown spots all over my neck and my dad thinks it's dirt but it won't come off when scrubbed. i wear a nickel plated necklace cross everyday?

Possibly an allergy: Nickel is a very common allergy, so that is a definite possibility. You might try wearing no necklace for a while to see if that makes a difference. There are some other "brown spot" rashes that can occur on the neck, but that would be a good thing to try first. Good luck to you!
