why do i keep getting scabs on my scalp? my mam says it's stress?

how do i get rid of the scabs on my scalp i mean all over it is a lot. it can't heal because of the scabs, and im a male with long hair so it makes it even harder. all of what to do as of now my 2 options are get a buzzcut and clean it off painfully?
