Typically not: There are some diet medications that are prescription only. They usually don't make you sleepy, but some people can have this effect. It is unusual. I can't speak specifically (don't know which one your referring to) about non-prescription products, but, in general, should not make you sleepy.

Yes,  many safe drug: There are 4 classes of drugs for weight loss. Appetite suppressants, anti diabetics, anti depressants, anti convulsants. When used by an experienced bariatric physician they are very safe and effective.

Diet pill: This is a repeat of what I have said before. My philosophy is that the best way to lose weight is not by dieting or a pill, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. You don't need a drastic diet. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, ; start doing some cardiovascular exercise.

does crushing hydroxycut diet pills have the same effect as if one was to swallow them whole?

Accepted Answer

Caution: Crushing pills can cause potency to be elevated significantly which on the case of hydroxyl it could cause heart palpitations and possible dangerous arrythmias and high blood pressure. Not recommended at all.  A proper diet and regular exercise will last much longer than a pill.

Likely OK: The effect of any medication depends on what is actually in it.  Without knowing what makes up your diet pill, it is not possible to tell anything about the effects on pregnancy.  That being said, it is likely to have left your system a week after stopping the pills, thus making it OK to attempt conception.

See below.: If you cannot get an erection with masturbation and you do not wake up with an erection, i.e. You have sudden and complete loss of ability to have an erection, you need to see your doc today. If you are able to have an erection at any time by any means then your equipment works fine and the problem may be more mental than physical..

Not much: In reviewing the components it appears the only one with potential for side effects is the caffeine, which would be like a cup of coffee. (135 mg) You can always call the poison control with this or any other ingestion 1-800-222-1222.

Diet pills: I don't recommend diet pills at all - they have unpleasant side effects and may help you lose weight temporarily but you don't want to depend on them to maintain weight loss.  Consider limiting the times and places you can eat, and spending some time on small portions of exercise every day.  Good luck.
