why do cysts come and go?

They leak!: Cysts are invagination of skin --a pocket of skin folded inside out. What normally sloughs off is now collecting in this "sock". It will periodically leak. If it's a *slow* leak, nothing happens and the cyst collapses, and 'goes away'. Then over time, this pocket recollects the content again, and it comes back.

NOT IN THE HEAD...!!: I think you get some boils / small abscesses on the scalp (that is skin covering the head). Check with your doctor.

Benign condition: A nabothian cyst is a benign mucous filled bump on the surface of the cervix routinely discovered during a routine pelvic exam. It is caused by build up of secretions when glands on the surface become plugged. No treatment is necessary. Nabothian cysts do not cause any problems.

i just had my brotholin cysts drained and this catheter put in the nurse said go back in 3 days but it's been 5 there any way i can have it come out ?

Follow up visit: Often a Bartholin’s cyst is drained and then a Word catheter is placed to assist in healing. These types of catheters often fall out on their own. If not then your doctor will need to remove it for you. Do not pull it out yourself. That could cause harm.

can thyroglossal cyst come and go? u/s 6 months ago showed lump consistent with tgc, 3 months later u/s showed no lump at all, and now it's back again

Yes: Can fill and drain.  Also remember that medical tests are not always 100% accurate.  Please make sure you are seen by an oral and malxillofacial surgeon or an otolaryngologist.

Possible cyst: I suggest a surgical evaluation for a possible pilonidal cyst/abscess formation. Surgery is the definitive cure with associated antibiotic therapy.Without an examination, I still suggest surgical evaluation and treatment.

Breast cysts: Yes breast cysts are common.  Often helped or prevented by  taking two kelp pills per day, one vitamin e, 400iu per day, and one krill oil capsule per day plus regular multivitamin e.g. Centrum one per day.  A healthy diet is important.

Bartholin cyst?: Depending on the exact location and the size and a few other characteristics, this could be a sebaceous cyst or a follicle cyst or a Bartholin's duct cyst.  Your gynecologist can let you know for sure and recommend treatment.

Maybe something else: Every month a woman who ovulates will essentially have a ruptured cyst - as the egg is released. Not infrequently, ovarian cysts persist - and may become uncomfortable until it ruptures. Consider the pill if you have persistent uncomfortable ovarian cysts.

It's likely: A recurrent folliculitis, like a pimple, from infected hair follicles.  Can be from shaving, may need antibiotics but keep area clean with soap and water and use warn, hot compresses to see if this makes them surface faster.  Get seen if gets worse.
