any reason why are my veins so blue and prominent?

Probably normal.: Veins can enlarge and shrink for many reasons most commonly levels of hydration, genetics, aging, sun exposure, temperature changes and even skin color being more prominent in fair skinned people.  Most commonly what you are experiencing is a normal variation but you probably should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation so that they could examine you and answer all of your questions.

Yes: The color of the veins has to do with the interaction between the color of blood within the veins(usually a dark red) and the color of your skin.Fair skin often has bluer veins, darker skin may have deep purple to brown appearing veins. Veins become prominent for many reasons:age(less subQ tissue), hydration level, salt intake, heat, and varicose veins are all potential causes of prominent veins.

Skin over veins: May look blue normally because of the underlying vein.  Is this what you mean?  If more widespread than over the vein suggest a doctor consult to determine whether there is another skin condition such as varicose eczema

Normal.: The prominence of veins through the skin is affected by many factors including levels of hydration and dehydration, body temperature as well as outside temperature, medications and even levels of stress.  Fair skinned people tend to have more easily visible veins than darker individuals and hereditary plays a strong role also.  In a healthy person, visible veins are usually not of any concern.

Not normal: Start with a consult with an Orthopedist.
If there is a delay it would be worthwhile to go to a store well recognized for helping you.
Here in Michigan it is either "Binson" or "Wright Fillipus". They may have similar programs near where you live.

woke up with pain in crease of right arm and my veins are way more blue than the left arm. could something be wrong?

Blood clot.: Worst case scenario, this could be a blood clot. You need a Doppler right away. Did you sleep on something that went under your right arm?  Get to an ED, if you haven't already.  Isn't CentraState near you?
