Stretch more: Get up and walk around or stretch a bit at least every 2 hours.  The longer you sit still, the stiffer you will feel when you finally do try to get up. If you are having swelling or intense pain along with the stiffness, those would be reasons to get examined by your dr.

Stiffness of muscles is a presenting sign of many neurologic conditions (Parkinson's disease being the most common) Pounding heart beat, sweating, headache and the fact that you have been prescribed Propranolol brings suggests anxiety

Bulges are normal : In terms  of a disc bulge, they are normal findings.  Even herniated discs  can occur in asymptomatic people.  For back health, you need to exercise regularly, particularly core exercise &amp; cardiovascular regimens.  Watch your weight &amp; don't smoke.  Make sure you have good vitamin d and calcium intake as well.  The disc bulge is not the source of your symptoms.
