Good question: The answer requires more information, perhaps objective data (exam, EMG, lab tests etc) Medications can cause muscle stiffness and when they do its a serious matter. Stiffness of muscles is a presenting sign of many neurologic conditions (Parkinson's disease being the most common) Pounding heart beat, sweating, headache and the fact that you have been prescribed Propranolol brings suggests anxiety
