Thrush: A sore throat with white spots and sores on your gums sounds like thrush. Blood tests can rule out some but not all STDs. A specific test is necessary to rulr out chlamydia and gonorrhea. Genital herpes?: Genital herpes is the most common cause of genital sores, perhaps with simultaneous oral herpes. Other STDs, e.g. syphilis. Some non-STD viral infections and certain kinds of dermatitis can do it, especially if also skin rash elsewhere. Yeast infection from the prior antibiotic, but pretty late for that. See doc ASAP -- the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and most effective treatment.

Not at all likely: If that was truly your only contact and no other and the other individual indeed had no transmissible STD's then (not all sex workers are infected) it is not likely that you would contract an STD that way. Why don't you seek a safer form for your sexual outlet-I.e. Seek a true life partner, not just a sexual outlet, not easy but much more satisfying and worthwhile. Good luck.

Some of the microbes can stay and replicate in the throat, and lead to an STD throat infection. Thus, a patient with throat symptoms should always let his doctor know what oral activities go on, so his doctor isn't left in the dark.
