Other possibility is a ink dye that your ENT has. You need both to succeed as ear fungus can be stubborn.

Ear fungus: First, he should make sure it's really fungus.  Could just be a lot of wax?  Or maybe a bacterial infection?  His doctor can do a "culture" and see for sure what it is.  If he's getting fungal infections regularly, he should also be tested for diabetes.  Wish your brother best of luck!

: I would have someone look in ear to see if any problem there.  You can buy cheap ear looker in Pharm here but do not know about in India.  Have someone look. The google what they see, if anything, and see if you can match up. Or better yet have a Dr/Nurse look in.
