Hmmmm: Some women do have a lot of natural discharge. Normal colors of mucous are white, clear, grey, green, yellow.  These can change based on diet and hydration level.

Unless you have experience distinguishing normal from an abnormal cervix, it would be hard to say if there is anything wrong with yours. A cervix is mostly round to oval depending on pregnancies.  But if in doubt have your doc check.

Well: Well it is good that the baby is active. However as for the cramping and the discharge call your doctor and see him again. He most likely will check a urine for any urinary tract infection

Vaginitis: You may have what is called desquamative vaginitis. Ask your gyn.

Not related: All those sound like separate symptoms and unrelated. The position of the cervix doesn't influence cramping, however you may notice an increased discharge if the cervix is closer to the outer vagina.

Pregnant?: I assume you are pregnant if you say your cervix is closed. Pregnancy can cause a thin, white, milky, mild smelling discharge, and this is normal. Not normal discharge would be green or yellow, strong smelling, and/or accompanied by redness or itching. This could be a yeast infection or it could be an std. Blood should always be reported. Get checked by your doctor to find out the cause.

Fertilization: Discharge can vary but the cervix should be closed during this time.

No: I don't think any doctor would cauterize your cervix due to mucus production. Sometimes when there's a lot of discharge being produced it's due to inflammation. It's better to find out what the cause of the information is rather than to cauterize the cervix. Sometimes this can be a low-level bacterial or mycoplasmal infection. See you in infectious disease specialist who also does gynecology.
