how long can i wait with muscle pain to see if it goes away without seeing a doctor?

Depends: Depends on your pain tolerance and what happened to cause the pain?  Significant trauma to tear a muscle ? Can't move?   Severe pain? Numbness and tingling?  See dr. Sooner.  Just over worked?  Wait a few days.  Remember that bones and muscles and joints heal themselves and stay healthy by moving -- normally.  Don't limp, grunt,  groan or hold your breath as you move about. -- makes it worse.

i've had a muscle pain in my left leg, from the back to halfway up my thigh. it feels like the pain one gets after running. it's been there for a week now and it gets worse when i am seated. what can this be? should i see a doctor or get a massage

Leg Pain: This could be muscle strain from running, perhaps not warming up or cooling down in the process.  Your running shoes could be the issue also.  Please do see your doctor to find out the cause, some may be more serious than the above.  Peace and good health.

my groin is pain after stand for few minutes and worse when i seat, comfortable when lying down, i push my groin and around vulva its pain like muscle pain. my gyn said that i need to exercise but i think its not the problem, which doctor i see next?

: You can see either a rheumatologist or an orthopedist. Your GYN's advice could be correct but you should be evaluated for a correct diagnosis and then instructed for physical therapy. Good luck.

See your PCP so ba -: sic pain meds could be tried and a Muscle relaxer can be given as well.

Lower back pain: Please provide more detail about your symptoms - for how long, how severe it is? Rest of your health history? If it just started then take pain medications available over the counter and stay reasonably active. If it persists or gets worse then consult a physician.

Exercise: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

See a rheumatologist: True weakness is not a symptoms of fibromyalgia. If you physical exam is normal and there are no trigger points, that would also mitigate against a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. Have you seen a rheumatologist?
