Yes: Hydrocele fluid usually comes from fluid that leaks down into your scrotum from your abdomen.  Your abdominal compartment makes liters of fluid a day and if there is a connection to your scrotum, some of this fluid leaks down.  Surgery to close that connection is the only way to stop that continued fluid leak.

Men or boys!: Adult type hydrocele (non- communicating) - fluid comes from secretion or reaction to trauma, inflammation or torsion by inner layer of tunica vaginalis surrounding testis which is or has been produced faster than it is absorbed. In boys/toddlers or infants with communicating hydrocele, fluid comes from peritoneal cavity thru the communication.

Serous fluid.: Hydrocele fluid is similar to other tissue fluids in the body, such as peritoneal fluid. It is a solution of mostly water, electrolytes, and protein. A 1994 study revealed that hydrocele fluid had higher levels of calcium, albumin, total protein and creatine-kinase, and lower levels of potassium, aspartate transaminase, and alkaline phosphatase than blood serum.

can fluid be removed from hydrocele for the time being til surgery??

Yes: Needle aspiration is possible, however the fluid will re-accumulate and we tend to minimize this procedure to avoid infection. But it is possible.  Discuss the risks and benefits of this with your doctor before proceeding.

Accepted Answer

Not a very: Impressive ultrasound report.  I wouldn't be worried by it.  There is not a great deal to do to avoid hydroceles except avoid testicular trauma.  Most just resolve over time.  If you are still that worried speak to a urologist.

my hydrocele was opertaed in a month now but fluid still accumulating confirmed by my surgeon.how many days or month can i go for hydrocele repair.

Hydrocele: If your hydrocele was simply aspirated in the office with a syringe, it is very likely to recur.  If you had an open incisional procedure to remove the hydrocele either it was done incorrectly or blood has now cumulated in the scrotum creating a hematoma.  Either way you should discuss it with a urologist.

i have a hydrocele and unable to feel my testicle because of the fluid. do i need surgery to drain it?

Scrotal hydrocele : Your doctor can aspirate the fluid in the scrotum in his office without anesthesia. If it recurs then yo7 need to have the leak closed surgically

i had an hydrocele repair on 20th aug.how long can i have sex and how long can i mastubate?.can having sex or mastubate let the fluid accumulate back.

Anytime you want: You should be sufficiently healed to do either or both. These activities will not cause a recurrence of the hydrocele.

hydrocelectomy - 15 days post-op it feels like a hard testicle with a squishy fluid sac on top? is it possible the hydrocele is recurring already? would it only be on the top? is it possible this is just fluid that is unrelated and will reabsorb?

: It will take 6-8 weeks for the area to feel normal again. Yes it is possible that what you feel will reabsorb. Wear a good scrotal supprt and use local heat for a week or two. you should be OK

i have a hydrocele in my right testicle. i have had ultrasound to confirm this. i can't feel my testicle too much fluid. how do i check for cancer?

It is OK: The Ultrasound would check the testis also for cancer.  Don't worry
