i had a baby 5 days ago and had episiotomy my bleeding was like normal period the first 2 days and now light bleeding i sneezed and it hurt and now i went to the bathroom  and noticed  a lot of bright red  blood should i be concerned ?

Probably not: If i understand your question, you started 5/18, then today is day 24 and ovulation is usually day 15, 6/01 and implantation 5 days later, day 20, or 6/6.  If it was a one time event, usually of no concern.  Make sure no bladder symptoms like burning on urination.  Another cause can be spotting after intercourse?

Menses: Menses is not always regular.   Hormonal variations cause changes in menses.  Hormonal changes may be related to a anovulatory cycle (ovarian cyst does not rupture and produce an egg), pregnancy or irregular use of BCP's.

on friday i started bleeding.. then on saturday i clotted all day long and there were 4-5 each time i went to the bathroom. now i don't feel good.. my head hurts, my back hurts.. i have. diarrhea  now. what does this mean? do i need to go to the doctor?

Hello. : Hello. I wanted to start by letting you know that i can't diagnose your symptoms.  I don't know if you just drink on occassion or if you drink more often. Heavy, chronic alcohol use can put you at risk for gastrointestinal bleeding from different sites. I don't know if your tonsils are swollen or if it is your neck, airway?  If you are experiencing any difficulty breathing or your airway seems to be closing in, then you should get immediate help.   Did your abdominal pain resolve after the bowel movement? If you have on -going abdominal pain that is severe, that is also a reason to be seen. Finally, it is important to have the source of rectal bleeding assessed.

Please call your OB: Probably not serious but your OB needs to know as i would do an exam and ultrasound assuming it is coming form the vagina, if it is form the urine could be a UTI either way your OB needs to know.

Constipation: Constipation is the most common reason for what you describe. This is usually due to vegetable-poor diets and not enough water intake daily. To help with this you should try a laxative like Miralax to help soften the stool to pass it. You will only make it worse by not having a bowel movement. The pain &amp; blood are normal from either ruptured hemorrhoid or small anal tear.

See a doctor: Common things are common.  You likely have a hemorrhoid.  But there are other causes of painful rectal bleeding, such as fissures.  The only way to know for sure is to have an exam.  Good luck.
