i got a pneumonia shot and flu shot friday in my left arm. and my arm is still extremely sore and slightly swollen today. what's causing this pain?

THe injection: Itself can cause a "local" reaction.  It should improve in the next week.

Perhaps: Pain at the site of an immunologic injection (vaccine) is usually showing that your immune system is working well and the vaccine is having its desired result.  Other times it can be simply from a deep bruise.  Both respond to Acetaminophen and cold compresses initially, but warm compresses may make the pain feel better after the first 24 hours.

ive had a high ankle sprain since aug 2021 and my ankle is still sore and i have to wear my air walking boot, my x-ray revealed no break in bone. how long until im pain free ?

: High ankle sprains involves the anterior tibia-fibula ligament. This type of sprain requires very aggressive treatment immobilizing for a minimum of 4 weeks. I would immobilize on crutches for 4-5 weeks and re-evaluate at that time   When you bear weight the talus helps to separate the bones . If this fails surgical consideration will be needed.

Not really: But it can be normal to have mild flu-like or cold symptoms. This is just the body's natural immune response after getting the vaccine that can make some people feel a little "sick". After getting vaccinated the body is making memory of the virus or bacteria. These vaccines are killed virus or bacteria, so you are not actually getting a live bug introduced into your body.

3 1/2 weeks ago broke 4th metatarsal nondisplaced. in walking boot. yesterday walked a lot & today top of foot is sore. could i have displaced the fractured bone by wearing the walking boot too long?

Aggravated injury: You may have aggravated old injury . Give it some rest , it should get better in few days. It takes 4-6 weeks for non displaced fractures to heal, it takes 10 weeks to feel normal , provided you give rest.

pneumonia shot over month ago but 3 days ago arm began to ache and today getting worse. no redness or swelling in arm but i noticed lesions now.

Needs to be seen: It would be very uncommon for an immunization from 1 month ago to cause problems.  If someone is having pain and skin lesions it would be best to get seen by someone who can look at and feel the area.

am i correct? cdc currently recommends those who never got a pneumonia shot to get pcv13 first (did in feb.), & then a dose of ppsv23 six to 12 months later if over age 65 (am 69). pharmacist says 12 months. my 6th month is september.

See a doctor: You should not be having pain at the injection site for months after an injection unless something is seriously wrong. Either they hit a nerve, there is infection or a blood collection at the site, or some other issue.  This needs to be assessed medically and dealt with once the source of pain has been determined.  Good luck.

Possibly: If a nerve were injured then it is a possibility, though not highly likely.
