Severe reaction: Some people have anaphylactic reactions to bites...If you suspect this see your doctor who may prescribe an epi pen for you to carry. Severe swelling, shortness of breath, are symptoms that require immediate medical attention / care.

Sludge: If you have an episode of severe,persistent pain, associated tenderness, fever,dark urine, vomiting then you must be seen by a physician as these are signs of acute cholecystitis. Also you should consider having your gall bladder removed in view of the presence of sludge and repeated episodes of postprandial abdominal pain.

i have asthma and a pulse oximeter. i use it to check when i get an asthma attack. what spo2 is normal? so i know when to go to the er. i am 25.

Peak flow meter: You are better off checking your peak flow since by the time the O2 sat drops you could be in serious trouble. Normal SaO2 is &gt;95%.  Asthma specialists use peak flow meters to determine the degree of obstruction.  Maintenance medications should keep it above 90%. Intervention should begin early before it drops below 80%. A peak flow below 50% is a medical emergency. Start steroids and go to ER.

Do not go to ER: There is nothing in your note that would warrant going to the emergency room.  You have an appointment with your ob. If you feel your problem is getting worse then please call them and ask if they can see you sooner.

Rectal bleeding: Is usually caused by hemorroids, but it can also be caused by diverticulosis, tumors, trauma, angiodysplasia, or upper GI bleeding.  You should go to ed when it does not stop when you lie down.  Otherwise, you can wait ti see the doctor the following business day.
