See details: Now I have heard everything. Ants in the underwear suggest poor hygiene but are not associated with diabetes. Symptoms of diabetes are those of increased thirst and increased urination.

Wouldn't think so: In a 9 yo DM would be expected to come on like a storm. Eating &amp; drinking but loosing 5-10 lb in a week before going into an obvious sickly state, possibly comatose. Ants in underwear suggests poor attention to personal hygiene or failure to change out dirty clothing. If you are concerned have her urine checked for excess sugar.

i saw ants on my underwears. not many but like 3-5 ants. i tested my fbs this month. the result is (103.37) the normal reference is 70-105 mg/dl. should i worry? is it pre diabetic?

: Seeing ants on underwear is not a symptom of diabetes. Would suggest having a person you trust witness your symptoms, in your case what you see. Starting random testing will only complicate things instead of simplifying and clarifying them.

Ehhh, ants in pants: Medically speaking, ants in you underpants are not a risk factor or diagnostic indicator of diabetes. Ants may be simple attracted to anything they can eat, and any discharge from the human body may be edible to an ant I would imagine.... Hopefully you do not have "bats in your belfry."
