An app for that...: Do you have a smartphone?  If so, check out your app store and type in Depo calendar and you should be able to find the app to help you keep track.  If you don't - write it in a regular calendar, put a sign on your refrigerator (or someplace you will see it), put it into your regular phone calendar with a reminder alarm.  Find what works best for you or do them all!

i am a month away from my next depo shot i've been on depo 5 months. is it normal to spot for a week or so it isn't heavy just a little blood?

Spotting normal : Spotting is actually quite common with Depo and is one of the most commonly reported side effects of that type of contraception. Keep a diary of what days you spot, and bring that with you next time you go and see your doctor for your shot. They can then discuss your options a bit more intelligently when they have that info.

i am experiencing irregular menstrual periods. i've had mine for 3 weeks, very light, and it's a brown, lumpy. i am due for my next depo shot 21 july?

Could be depopovera: Suggest pregnancy test to check depopovera hasn't failed but is a known effect of this treatment.  Suggest seeing your doctor to discuss options and decide if you need any other tests (eg infection check blood count thyroid).

i started spotting as it came closer to get my next depo shot. i'm supposed to go 4/21 - 5/5. is it happening cause i waited too long or side effects?

Normal: Irregular periods or absent periods are a normal side effect of depoprovera.  Some have them more frequently others none at all. If you like this method and are satisfied with your pattern of menstrual cycles then keep your appointment for your next shot. If not then consider switching to a Mirena (levonorgestrel) or Skyla IUD.

my first depo shot was given to me on may 25. is my next shot due three months after on august 25? that is 13 weeks is that considered late?

8/10-8/24: I have attached a helpful link. Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is convenient in that you may redose during weeks 11-13 after your initial injection. took depo shot on  sept.24 was due on the 11th of dec. never got it. it is now dec. 27 how long will it take for shot to wear off? ( this is my first)

14 weeks from last: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is "guaranteed" to work up to 14 weeks from your last injection.  After that it is possible to get pregnant.  However, It takes up to 8 months for all of the medication to get out of your system.    It can cause trouble with your periods during this time.  Best wishes!

Maybe: These work by maintaining a relatively constant level of hormone in your blood that blocks egg release. No egg= protected.  When the hormone level falls enough the body will revert to its baseline fertility &amp; eggs may release. You may have a safe interval or not, so a backup form of BC is reasonable if it matters.

: Per WebMD: The medication usually starts working right away when the rod is inserted during the first 5 days of your period. If your appointment is at another time in your menstrual cycle, you may need to use a non-hormonal form of birth control (such as condoms, diaphragm, spermicide) for the first 7 days after the rod is placed.

You may be anemic: Depoprovera(DP),particularly if you have been receiving injections for a while,should not lead to you passing out.Headaches can occur while using DP as well as spotting but generally these symptoms may improve after the first year of use.I would recommend you have a CBC done to rule out iron deficiency anemia.If this was your first injection it could be a manifestation of an allergic reaction

Question unclear but: One can get her Depo-Provera after 11-12 weeks, and not have to wait for the 13th week. Depo-Provera is usually scheduled for every 3 months (that's 13 weeks, but getting the next shot at 11 or 12 weeks should be ok too). Life is never exact, so the level of protection gradually drops (not predictable) after 13th, 14th, or 15th week. Just schedule each next shot at 12-week intervals, if worried.
