Yes: If medical management of hip pain fails, surgical treatment can be considered.  Patients who have conditions such as avascular necrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, or hip dyplasia are typically younger than those patients with osteoarthritis.  Also, "less invasive" procedures such as hip resurfacing is commonly done in the younger age group.

What you need is to-: -have strong ABductors of the hip as well as stretching the flexors and extensors of the hip. This is not something you can do in a short time. A proper exercise routine must be set up for your needs &amp; abilities, &amp; it takes months to do this. If your surgery is soon, nothing will make this happen rapidly.

Plan. : You need to go to your doctor pretty soon. X Ray as well. You can not resolve this problem with history of hip replacement on line.

: This WBC count per se is not a contraindication, if this is your normal count. If it increased recently, then the cause needs to be addressed as it may be an infection. It would be prudent to discuss it with the surgeon who will be performing the surgery,

HIP REPLACEMENT: I am not sure if all the movements are    preserved like flexion, extension, abduction, etc. Probablly, rom is slightly diminised. Please ask the orthopedic surgeon.

i am a diabetic, osteoporous, arthritic and have had a hip replacement. i have been told to get an ra test done. myhands hurt and go numb and the numbness may last from20 seconds to an hour. what might be the cause of it?

2 major causes: The 2 most likely causes are cervical spondylitis (pinched nerve in neck from arthritic spurs or ruptured disk) or diabetic peripheral neuropathy. An MRI and/or nerve conduction study will distinguish the 2 conditions. Treatments are different.

Groin pain s/p THR: It's possible that the total hip replacement surgery have disturbed something to the groin causing pain.  Was the pain present from right after surgery or did it develop later?  Have you talk to your orthopedic surgeon?  What did they say?  What make of vehicle are you speaking of?  Try a different way of getting into it or adjust the seat.  Also, consider consulting with a physical therapist.
