Dysphagia: Or difficulty swallowing should be promptly investigated and it may reflect anatomic or functional esophageal abnormalities. Your heart racing is most likely reactive tachycardia in response to the discomfort. Please talk to your doc about your symptoms and keep a log of your symptoms, specifically solids/ liquids, progression, etc.

whats wrong with me?what should i take? i have a little bit of a stuffy/runny nose but can still breath and a little soar throught but i can still swallow and i have coughing and when i swallow my chest kinda hurts.

Sore : Sore throat is a fairly common symptom associated with many illnesses. Most of the time it resolves on its own without any other issues. Occasionally it can be due to something more serious that needs treatment. Reasons to seek care are:

- any fever - since it could be strep and you can't tell without an exam/testing 
- if it lasts longer than 3 or 4 days 
- any difficulty opening your mouth 
- unable to swallow 
- severe pain 
- bleeding in the throat 
- redness or swelling on the outside of the neck 
- any difficulty breathing or noisy breathing

in the meantime, taking Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen for pain, using a humidifier in your bedroom, drinking plenty of fluids such as hot tea/broth or cold liquids and a spoonful of honey can help.

: Runny nose and cough are typical symptoms of a cold (viral upper respiratory infection). It should not cause heartburn.
Pain with swallowing pill is not normal but you did not specify what pill you were taking. OTC medication for heartburn is not helpful for pain when swallowing pill unless you have history of reflux esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus due to reflux GERD).

Pain after swallow: Pill stuck in the esophagus triggering spasm of esophagus. No sensory nerve inside body to tell precisely which organ is hurt but functional symptoms reveals the culprit. Usually saliva will be secreted enough to melt the pill so it can travel gradually downward (in case you do not have water within reach of course).

A problem: It sound like you may have a piece of food lodged in your esophagus. If this feeling persists (and it sounds like it does), you should seek prompt attention. Sometimes an endoscopy is necessary to retrieve the offending food. It's much better to do this sooner rather than later.
