Not certain: I ever learned the answer to this, but one would assume that increasing the intrathoracic pressure with a cough would also put pressure on the intra-abdominal organs ( bowel and bladder) aiding in evacuation.  While these functions may not occur exactly simultaneously they may occur in a time interval that is very close.  This is just an educated guess.

when i fart, liquid comes out. almost like i am peeing from my butt. why?

It sounds like: Loose stool/diarrhea along with some gas.  This can happen for any number of reasons but most commonly infectious processes or irritation of the intestinal tract from a toxin in something you ate.  Try to focus on a bland diet like the BRAT diet(Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast) as they are easy foods to digest for the next day or so.  Seek help if this persists or you have abdominal pain.

my 2 week old daughter has not had a bowl movement for about  5 hours and she seems like she's trying to push but all that happens is she farts, she seems like she is in pain. she pees only and it isn't that much. when should i be worried?

Basics: Breast fed babies can poop a small smear every feed or just fill a crib once a week. Formula kids poop more predictably. If it is soft when they go it is not constipation. Their belly muscles are flabby &amp; soft &amp; they are laying flat,so many must use their fussing/breathing muscles to push poop along. That makes their tummy hard so many assume they are in pain. Have her seen if you wish.

my 4days old baby hasnt pooed ever since he got home. he is both breast and formula fed, he does pee and farts a lot. could it be constipation?

Not unusual: Abreast fed baby will poop a little smear every feed or fill a diaper once a week. Mixed feeds can trigger some variation. If it is not rabbit pellets or hard it is not constipation.

Look up diet and : Liquids. Make sure you're well hydrated, so that you can produce an adequate urine stream. Try to stay away from caffeinated beverages, or alcoholic beverages. Also in order to have adequate poop, you need to be able to eat adequate fiber through eating servings of whole vegetables and fruits. Farting is gas release.

PID or UTI: I would be concerned about pelvic inflammatory disease (pid) or a urinary tract infection (uti). Both are infections caused by bacteria and need to be treated. You need to see a doctor now. They can determine the cause of your symptoms and start appropriate treatment. Pid can lead to infertility if untreated and untreated UTI can damage your kidneys.

is it possible to have discomfort in or around bellybutton with gas ? not strong pain just like stabbing feels better after i pee or pass gas

Yes possible: It is suggestive that it is related since the pain improves with passing gas. But this is not a specific sign for that, as inflammation of any cause could feel better with less pressure in the abdominal cavity.
