Numbness: After  you eat anything or just certain foods? Keep track in a diary as it sounds like an allergy. If it is when you eat anything then i would see my ENT md and my oral surgeon. Let us know how it works out please.

Ciguatera?: numbness after eating sushi can be a symptom of several things, but one of them is ciguatera toxicity. It is found in reef fish, usually in the summertime. it causes lip and tongue numbness, 2-6 hours after eating, but can also cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, and cardiac and neurologic problems. If you are having these symptoms, go to the ER to be checked out. Good luck.

especially when i close my mouth it hurts and needs force to close my mouth?

TMJ: It sounds like you may have inflammation in the area of your left Jaw. Most commonly this can be caused by grinding your jaw or clenching your teeth at night. Try wearing a nighttime mouth guard. Use antiinflammatories such as ibuprofen. See a Dr if the symptoms do not improve after 3-5 days.

Numb face: If 1/2 your face continues to be numb, or weak, paralyzed, you may have a "bell's palsey". Your dr my help ameliorate this problem..

Numb mouth: The simple answer is, no. It is not normal for the mouth to go numb. Such a sensation is usually caused by pressure on a branch of the facial nerve, or direct anesthesia, as when a dentists numbs the nerves in your mouth. This sensation should be check out and not ignored.

Facial weakness: These functions are controlled by completely different 'cranial' nerves - there are 12 pairs.  Facial movement and facial sensation are ALWAYS separate functions.
So some more common causes of facial weakness include stroke (elderly) and Bell's palsy (all ages).  Any presentation of facial weakness should be examined in clinic.
