Not true: People with herpes can spread it even if there is no outbreak or if you do not touch the outbreak area. Use condoms for better protection, but even they are not 100%. Read this from the CDC:

Unknown chance: If a person only has herpes lesions on the mons pubis, and nowhere else, there is a small but unknown (nobody can guess the chances) chance of catching herpes from other locations. A woman can have herpes viruses intermittently in her vulval-vaginal area without having outbreaks... because life is full of uncertainties. It's safest for her to be on medication, and for him to use condoms.

Herpes: That sounds very unlikely.  Herpes can spread fairly easily through contact with body fluids. When in doubt, a blood test can confirm or exclude herpes 1 or 2.

Hiv symptoms same: The symptoms of inital HIV infection can be fevers muscle pain rash headache and aren't changed by having herpes. And some people have no symptoms at all when they get hiv
you can get more frequent and more extensive herpes infections if you have HIV and you should be on chronic suppressive treatment for herpes if you have HIV like daily Acyclovir or famvir (famciclovir).

Herpes : Herpes is caused by a virus that can lie dormant in the body for years.  Because of this, you can catch it from someone who has never even had any symptoms.  Since you had a negative test in june and a positive test now, it's safe to say you probably contracted herpes sometime between then and now, but when and from who cannot be determined.  Either partner could have transmitted it to you and your outbreak would not have necessarily coincided with when you contracted it. Possible but slight: virsuses can live outside the body for short period of time (like seconds, most article say &lt; 10 seconds, ) but longer in damp conditions. So, very unlikely unless your friend had just used the medication.

Yes: Genital herpes can cause superficial ulcers in the genital area and these can get secondarily infected with bacteria.  If you suspect that you have the infection, you should see your doctor to get the appropriate treatment.

Yes: Often  people with genital herpes  have no symptoms. These may appear long  after infection.  Blood studies and cultures from any blisters, ulcers or even skin cracks (fissures) will make the diagnosis.

Remote possibility : A number of factors would have to occur or be dependent on for this to happen. It is not the very sanitary practice.
