Uncertain: Flushing is not uncommon, and can be triggered by emotions or things that dilate blood vessels (warm drinks, alcohol, certain meds).  The fact that it is only happening on one side of your face is a bit more unusual.  I would probably get it checked out, especially if you have other neurological symptoms on that side (numbness, skin sensitivity, etc...)

Was she a virgin?: if she was a virgin,then it might be the first intercourse injury that creating all this reaction,she should be left alone for few days,no improvement,need to see a doctor.
if she was not ,it meaned the area too dry and you are doing too much friction,and that is very painful,you need to keep the area moist and lubricated.
either way,if does not get better in few days ,see a doctor.safe sex always

i had ingrown toe nail out! it's been almost 2 weeks and its oozing and have a red streak down the middle of the toe nail. what could be wrong?

Infection: Was the nail edge just cut out, or was it also cauterized to prevent regrowth? The latter can be red and drain for several weeks. The alternative is infection. Either way, the best course is to contact the doctor that treated it initially, have it evaluated and let that doctor decide whether antibiotics are appropriate.

Mgt: Since she is not improving and her throat is red, I would suggest having another visit and possibly a strep test swab of her throat. In the meantime, keep her well hydrated and Tylenol (acetaminophen) can be given for the fever.

If redness and discomfort occur, topical non steroidal and oral anti-inflammatory medications will help the symptoms.  Also, topical corticosteroid may relieve itching as the skin heals.  Cool compresses and luke warm baths may also reduce pain and itch.

Ice pack: anti inflammatories are helpful in the short run, but do not do that complete of a job. basically you are looking at using make up.
