: Rabies transmission is not possible in above circumstances. Check cdc.gov which has reliable information regarding rabies transmission. Talk to your doc about your fears as health related anxiety is likely.

This sounds like it: might be an infection, as opposed to a bug bite. Of course if you're somewhere where there are insects out at this time of year, it's possible. I would recommend that you have her examined by her doctor to be sure. Meanwhile, have her sit in a warm tub or apply warm compresses to the area. If it's itchy, she can have Benadryl (diphenhydramine) orally. Don't try to squeeze it to open it up; you may make it worse.

No force-feeding: Babies do not need to be force-fed. If a parent thinks she has to force-feed her baby, she can bring the baby to the doctor and feed the baby while the doctor is watching (explain that this is the plan, when booking the appointment). In most cases, the baby is fine and will drink enough breastmilk or formula to grow normally (which may be a smaller amount of intake than the parent wishes).

Metallic Tastes: You may have this taste as a side effect of medications you may be taking--specifically antibiotics.  It can also be caused by dehydration.  Less likely causes would be cystic fibrosis or accidental poisoning.  See your physician if this persists.

Antihistamines: You can take oral medications like Benadryl (diphenhydramine)  or chlorpheniramine. Gargle with warm salt water.

Water Flosser: Many mouthwashes have alcohol in them ,some as much as 20% with extreme mints can dry your mouth, so limit the use of it. Alternate alcohol and non-alcohol mouthwash during the day.  A great alternative to mouth wash would be to use a device called the Water Flosser.

keep getting weird taste in my mouth. kind of like what a pill aftertaste. no new meds. what could cause this?

Side effect !: Could be side effect after the use of contrast for the ct procedure.
If it persists , see a physician for a consultation ..

Junk Food: Candy and other junk foods are loaded w/chemicals and sugar that the body does not recognize.  If this persists please see your doctor.  Peace and good health.  Dark chocolate (80% or more) is a better choice.
