Non specific: Dizziness can be due to inner ear malfunction, or viral infection to the nerves of the ear but also blood pressure, medicine, dehydration and a very long list of causes--it can happen with movement but can be presist for very long periods.

ENT or Neuro: Suggest seeing either an otolaryngologist or a neurologist for these symptoms. Certainly with the acuteness of the onset would suggest consulting a physician promptly.

No: If are doing things during the ride....Like exchanging saliva ....That can give you problem later on as infection and vertigo/ dizziness.

It sounds, though, like you have vertigo which can be caused by a loose rock (otolith) in the inner ear (your ear naturally makes the otolith to help determine position. Alternatively, viruses can attack the inner ear but usually cause other symptoms also.GL

Several disconects!: Cerebritis is an extraordinary feature of mctd.  Your improveemt with Prednisone could be the result of sinus or inner ear problems.  These dxs should not be discarded.  Also, is your blood pressure low? Taking a "burst" of pred may increase it.  Talk to your doctor.

Hormonal Change: Sudden hormone changes as during your periods can accentuate central episodes of dizziness and fatigue. Ask your gynecologist if a course of oral hormones would change this.
