Prob doesn't matter: Has herpes zoster (shingles) been professionally diagnosed? Don't try to diagnose and treat yourself. Shingles can occur at age 25, but not very common. A lotion or cream might help rash feel better, but won't speed healing. You need antiviral drug by mouth (e.g. valacyclovir) and maybe a steroid to help prevent future nerve pain. Follow your doc's advice, or see a doctor soon if not yet done.

Shingles rash: Shingles can be very painful and the rash can be quite blistery and raw. It is therefore advisable to take care of this damaged and inflammed skin. If it's been 9 days already, hopefully things are getting better. The point is to be careful to protect the skin so no further damage occurs and to prevent secondary bacterial infection (if the skin is already broken up and damaged). See MD if in doubt

Shingles itch: It can help but is most helpful for poison ivy.  It will still help with the symptoms of the itch.  You may also want to try acyclovir ointment on the areas.  Good luck and feel better!

Yes: This medication can be combined with an oral steroid. Start with 1% hydrocortisone - mix a good portion with an eczema cream and spread over affected areas within 3 minutes after shower/bath. See your MD for alternative prescription strength creams if this is not helpful. Itch will stop when the body absorbs the dead mite from the skin.

No crystal ball.: It's difficult to predict what will happen with ga; a lot depends on what is causing it, and often the cause is not clear at all. The localized form has a tendency to resolve spontaneously. The generalized form tends to be more persistent. Your daughter should be checked periodically for diabetes, as ga is sometimes a harbinger of the type i form.

It would be: safe because absoption of the drug is minimal from the skin won't go up to a drug toxicity level in the blood stream..

how long is ringworm contagious on terbinafine? i used a topical cream for 2-3 days and ran on and i read that itd only be contagious for 1 or 2 days after using it. i ran out and went to the doctors a week later and was prescribed the terbinafine.

See dermatologist: if this is a fungus, then your meds whether top or oral should be taken for a prolonged time pd. The risk of being contagious should diminish sig when this routine is followed. would see dermatologist to confirm dx and receive appropriate tx.
