Your doctor: Should know what medications you're taking, and be able to advise you appropriately.  Talk with your doctor openly about your plans.  If you present to radiology with solids still in your colon, they won't be able to do your study.  You and your doctor need to devise an appropriate plan.

Define clear liquids: "clear liquids" are any food that is not solid at room ; body temperature that will allow sunlight to pass through: ice pops, jello, broth without particles, juices without particulates, water, light tea. Avoid red-dyed foods that may leave residue that looks like blood to the colonoscopist. Confirm your selection with the performing doctor--you don't want to have to re-do the test due 2 bad prep.

Plenty of liquids: Colonoscopy is a unique event and remember that the preparation is very important. Follow the directions on your particular bowel preparation and remember to drink plenty of clear liquids.
Role aids are permissible.

can i have werther's original caramel hard candies the day before my colonoscopy? i am on a clear liquid diet.

Yes: The hard candies will dissolve into soft or liquid form before they reach your bowel.  While they are not quite clear, they are close enough.  And the volume they would produce would be very small.  I probably would not do more than 5 or 6 of them, though; maybe 10 at the most. None on day of procedure.  Clearer/lighter hard candy would be better. Keep up the water!! Good luck!

No: Not eating is not causing panic attack, and if it happen again, you should be valuated by psychiatric.

Slow gut: Often two day prep used in patients with known or suspect delayed transit such as those on narcotics, with chronic constipation, and s/p  spinal cord injury, or those who previously failed a standard one day prep.

i have been on clear liquid diet all day and started colonoscopy prep 4.5 hours ago. i have drank 2 liters of movi-prep without a bm. what should i do?

Continue prep: Continue the prep as prescribed.  If you have not had good BMs prior to time for the procedure, let the doctor who is going to do the procedure know.  If your colon is not cleared out, the doctor will not be able to see well enough for the colonoscopy to be of any value.  You may need to be prescribed a different bowel prep.

BCAA: This latest addition to muscle building should not interfere with the colonoscopy, but it might be best to check with the colonoscopist and see what they advise.

It had to be clear :  you need to ask your gastroenterologist to be certain. The ingredient containing tomato paste does not sound right

Lime popsicles: Colonoscopy prep can be tolerated when lime popsicles are added to your clear liquid, non red food list. Get the low calorie type.
