hi - i have twin babies 8 weeks old. they have been fine until we recently introduced formula
they have diffuculty sleeping at night and it sounds like they getting stomach aches, this happens everyday and i do not know what to do anymore

Lactose : They may have lactose intolerance. There are many formula  options available without lactose. Other conditions also can be reviewed with your Pediatrician. They are due for their 2 month visit and immunizations.

Baby stomach ache: Usually an infant manifests abdominal pain by crying and tensing his/her abdomen. The most common causes are gas or colic, or constipation. So check the stools as this is very treatable. Baby stools should be soft and mushy. Colic should resolve by itsself in 6 to 12 weeks.

See doctor: The most common cause at 6 weeks would be colic.  There is treatment for colic.  See the doctor for evaluation, to find out what is the cause.

Call your doctor: A 3-year-old may not be able to adequately describe his/her symptoms to you. I would highly recommend you contact the child's pediatrician. Next time, don't wait a month before reporting symptoms that are unusual or irregular. Use the "3-day rule": anything that lasts more than 3 days or happens on 3 separate days needs professional attention. It's may be bigger than you think.

Unlikely to  know: The average 1mo will fuss for whatever reason & spontaneously bring their elbows in, their legs up & cry using their diaphragm muscle. All this makes the stomach bow out & everyone assumes the hard belly is hurting when it is really the result of the diaphragm  muscle contracting.There is no way to find out they have nausea or stomach ache.All spit up some so we assume they might but may not.

Get GI consult : to rule out gastritis v. GERD. Reflux is common in pregnancy and should be carefully evaluated.

: First ask your pediatrician for help. Then, have your baby evaluated by a pediatric dentist who is skilled in tongue &amp; lip tie releases; usually with a laser. If your baby is lip &amp;/or tongue tied, it can inhibit proper lip seal which allows gas in it’s tummy called Aerophagia. Gut biome is also affected causing discoloration in stool. Not for anxiety: SAM-e is indicated for mild depression but not anxiety.  There are no effective /safe herbals for anxiety. Kava kava used to be on the market but it can cause liver damage so it is NOT safe.  The best natural methods for anxiety include meditation, yoga, journaling, and just plain exercise.  Good luck!

Many things: It could be an ulcer, crohns, acid reflux, lactose intolerance. See a doctor and he might be able to figure it out.
