Low progesterone: At 6 weeks of pregnancy your Progesterone should approach 20 ng/ml and yours if very low.  I suggest natural supplimentation because the pregnancy may be perfectly normal but you'll abort with low progesterone.

Perhaps: Studies show that babies of women who are depressed do better when the mom's are treated during pregnancy.  You should speak with your physician and consider either therapy or medication or both.

Can be controlled: She must consult with her ob/gyn and an endocrinologist (thyroid specialist). It is essential for the good health of the baby ; your wife to make frequent appointments and keep them.
