Yes you can: Hysterectomy, is removal of the uterus: ovaries are separate glands lying next to the uterus. Often they are removed at the time of hysterectomy, but not always.
Ovarian cancer can also arise from the epithelial lining of the peritoneum(sometimes called primary peritoneal carcinoma) which behaves just like ovarian cancer and is treated the same way as primary ovarian cancer.

Check out mediterranean diet which has plenty of evidence of benefit.

MD time: Cramps in the abdomen and back can be due to a million and one different causes, benign or not. Do not get too anxious, just make sure your oncologist knows about it and follow his/her instructions.  Hope it is nothing serious. Get better soon.

Yes: I will probably take heat for this but I am one of those doctors that believes in the HCG diet. I've not seen any patient have trouble or deleterious health effects from this weight loss. If followed, weight loss does occur. Most gain their weight back afterwards because they don't follow a maintenance plan for the 3 weeks after finishing hcg. If you do, the weight stays off.

Sometimes: Usually this is only considered if the patient has a known genetic predisposition, such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome (associated with brca1 and brca2). Talk to your doctor to see if your family history meets the criteria for testing for an inherited cancer syndrome. Note that these syndromes only make up a small fraction of the cancer diagnosed here.

Yes it can: Hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries is known to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer
after hystrectomy alone the risk was found to be 1 in 300, but if you also had the ovaries removed the risk was 1 in 5000.This was found in retroactive study of 25000 females between ages of 50 to 70, in an article published april 2011 in womens health/gynacology.

Congratulations : Congratulations on doing well thus far!  everything you listed sounds like good news.  I can tell you that the overall 5 year survival rate for all ovarian cancers is 47%, but if it was caught in the early stages and the cancer was only in the primary site, the five year survival is 92%.  You should talk with your oncologist about your prognosis.  By knowing your staging, genetic markers, tumor histology, aggressiveness of your cancer, details about your surgery and treatment, and tumor response, they may be able to give you a more accurate prognosis.  In general, people are not considered "cured" until they have 5 years of being cancer-free, but every day without cancer is fantastic.

Yes: "hysterectomy " technically  means removal of the uterus, not the ovaries and the uterus.  A bso (bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy) means removal of both ovaries and fallopian tubes.   Even if the ovaries have been removed, there is a very small chance that ovarian cancer can develop from cells that line the abdominal cavity.  This chance is much less than 1 in 100.

Rare if no ovaries: The term complete hysterectomy refers to removal of the uterus and cervix and not the ovaries. The term "complete hysterectomy" is often misused to imply that the ovaries were removed as well. If we can assume the ovaries were removed, it would be very rare to develop ovarian cancer (provided both ovaries are benign at the time of removal) in the future.
