Tylenol (acetaminophen): Tylenol (acetaminophen) should be fine. It is metabolized by the liver. Nsaids like Aspirin and Ibuprofen are metabolized by the kidneys but may irritate the stomach.

Surgery for ?: I'll assume the surgery is unrelated to the toothache. You should do 2 things asap. First, discuss what you can and can't do with the doctor performing the surgery. Secondly, at least see a dentist right away to determine the cause of the toothache ; hopefully treat it before the surgery. Antibiotics are used to treat infections ; dental treatment might not require or respond to antibiotics!

Depends on the: surgery and the infection. See dentist and get the infection taken care of befor the surgery especiallyif an elective surgery.

Accepted Answer

Such as Viagra (sildenafil)?: If your blood pressure is in good range and not taking "nitrate" medication, erectile enhancement pill should be ok to use. I assume you were given this before your gastric bypass surgery? If nothing else change beside  the bypass, these med should can be used. Of course, having a regular follow-up with your doc and consult on this matter is advised. Good luck.

Vitamins: Free vits?  Not that i know of. That is one thing that patients must be aware of prior to having surgery. You must be able to afford multivitamins, b12, calcium with vitamin d forever after surgery. I am not aware if any place you can get these for free.

Chewable calcium: I would think chewable supplements would be ok to take. Ask your surgeon as well because they should have provided you with a list of medicines and supplements you can and cannot take.

Yes: Unless there is a complication causing poor absorption from your intestines, you can use birth control pills. Just be sure to ask your surgeon.
Also consider more effective methods such as iuds, or if you've completed your family then permanent contraception like hysteroscopic sterilization (essure) or vasectomy for your partner.

i take 40mg of vyvanse & 100mcg of synthroid daily. i take synthroid between 6-7a & vyvanse between 8:30-9a. i need to take calcium supplements daily due to bariatric surgery. can i take the calcium supplements? if so when is a good time? with food?

Headache relief: You might try taking both Tylenol and an anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Aleve with food. My patients have found this combination effective. Otherwise you would have to seek prescription medication such as fioricet or fiorinal from your physician if he/she feels it's appropriate for you.

what can cause a person not to lose weight after bariatric surgery?

Takes time: It takes upto 9 months to see the results of weight loss surgery. The reason for not loosing weight after the initial improvement is slowly building the amount of food intake - the stomach can regrow to fit the increased food portions. So if it is initial after surgery be patient if it is a late effect you might need to add other protocols to complement the surgical benefits.
